Atawhai (Te Reo Maori for kindness) is a quick colourwork project with a cozy double folded brim that makes for a lovely little gift for a loved one. The sample was knit up in a classic grey white combo, but the colour combo can easily be personalised towards the recipient of the gift.

Yarn: 

Meterage: 120 - 130 m in MC yarn, 40 - 50 m in CC yarn.

Size: Circumference 51 cm, Depth 34 cm
To fit a 56 cm head.

Needles: US 8 (5 mm) and US 9 (5.5 mm) size or size needed to obtain gauge, circular needle, and double- pointed needles or magic loop needle for the crown.

Gauge: 18 sts and 22 rnds over 4 in./10 cm in St. st Colourwork pattern with US 9 (5.5 mm) and after blocking.
